Swepsonville River Park

Type of hike/what to expect:

This area of trail is 2 miles long, directly adjacent to the the Haw River. Mostly flat alongside the river, almost entirely covered by trees. If parked at Lower access, make sure to the take the marked trail to the right as the left one leads nowhere. The top end of the trail ends abruptly- this is an out and back path.

Both upper and lower entrances provide opportunities to take out or put in if paddling on the Haw. Lower access has paved ramp. Both accesses have parking areas.

An alternate route could bring you through Downtown Graham or Burlington. Ten minutes further out, you can drive to Saxapahaw.
